Most people have heard of Quooker, but not many people are aware of their environmental credentials.  This month, in a world where we are all trying to be more environmentally sensitive, we wanted to highlight these seriously impressive kitchen taps.

If you want to make a sustainable choice, buy a Quooker.  It uses very little energy – since the tank used for the boiling water is so well insulated it only uses 10 watts of standby energy to maintain optimal water temperature.  That is less than your WiFi router and half the energy used in traditional boiling methods.

You have multiple options in tap design, tap finish and tap functionality.  One such option is the CUBE addon, available in combination with all Quooker taps, installed at the bottom of your cabinet next to the Quooker tank.  It includes one or two filters that make the water as pure as the bottled water that you would buy in the shop.  You no longer have to buy water in plastic bottles, and just one CO2 cylinder gives you 60 litres of sparkling water from your Quooker tap.  That is not the only environmental advantage.  It takes 3 litres of water to make just one plastic bottle – 3 litres go down the drain for every litre that you drink.  A sobering thought.

Call into Nicholas Moody Kitchens to discuss your requirements and try the taps that we have on display.
