Kinsale, Co. Cork
A beautiful home brimming with the client’s fabulous personality, this is a space that you can’t help but feel happy in.
For a keen cook, it was essential that the kitchen offered maximum functionality without compromising on style. The in-frame Shaker design allowed us to create a truly bespoke kitchen, with tailored cabinetry carefully considered to meet every item on the client’s wish list. The curved peninsula is a perfect example, adding an elegant, sculptural touch while providing additional storage and allowing for easy circulation throughout the space.
At the heart of the kitchen sits a beautiful Lacanche Chagny range cooker. Every detail, from the ovens and cooktops to the finishes, was personally selected by our client to create her perfect range. The cooker was then specially made for her at Lacanche’s factory in France.
Discreetly tucked behind an architectural pocket door, the walk-in pantry provides the perfect home for small appliances and open storage, with an array of oils, spices and other essential ingredients close to hand, particularly important for the client’s incredible vegan cooking.
Upstairs, the guest WC is a joyful celebration of colour and pattern. From the Parrotland tiles to the London Basin Company vanity, basin and tap, every element brings personality to this small but impactful space.
Bathrooms are the perfect opportunity to have a little fun with design, experiment with colour and push the boundaries. In this case, taking that risk has created a space that is both playful and full of character.
